October 2020 Blog

In Spanish this week, we have been learning about greetings and how ask someone's name. Kestrels loved the Spanish greetings song , here is a link so you can try it at home, it's very catchy!

Kestrels had a fantastic morning of art with Mrs Pike today.  They investigated blending using pastels and then used their scientific understanding of fossils to create ammonites from clay.
Kestrels rounded up our rocks and fossils topic this week with an investigation into soils. We separated out soil in to different layers by mixing it with water in a test tube then used what we had learnt to make our own soil and planted some seeds.
Ask your children where the fallen leaves go each Autumn and which group of organisms are vital to this role.
