Spring 2020 Blog
Kestrel's all dressed up for World Book Day with a fantastic range of costumes, here are just a few...
Kestrels had a brilliant morning spent with the educational team at Warburton's who came to talk about how bread is made at their factory, healthy eating and making sandwiches using food from each of the food groups. The children had a fantastic time and were able to apply all the learning we have been doing in Science.
Kestrels tried out their water colour skills today, creating their own version of Claude Monet's Waterlily work.
We started off Science Week making models of our own teeth using clay. We learnt the names of the teeth and the jobs they do.
A huge thank you to Dr Darren Thomas who came into Kestrel class today to talk about joints and muscles. We learnt there are 360 joints in the human body. We learnt about different types of joints and tried to find the different joints in our bodies and Dr Thomas showed us working models of the different joints.
