In Science this week we had our first go at being more independent with planning a fair test. We were given a scenario where a birthday cake needed to be decorated in a rush, and we needed to know which chocolate would melt the fastest. We talked about what we needed to keep the same and also watched a clip of other children doing the same experiment where things didn't go to plan. That led us to think about what would happen if something went wrong for us. Do we just carry on? We discussed that Scientists often have to restart experiments when things go wrong and that is normal.
Today we joined Matt the engineer and Nao the robot to help build an amazing FACTORY OF THE FUTURE’. During the fun science show the children helped create a net zero factory using the latest green technologies, learning about science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).
