Kestrels been studying plants this half term and seeing if seeds will grow in different materials. We’ve just started an experiment to see how water is transported through a plant in different temperatures. 
Kestrels loved their critical listening session with Kip Pratt!  They listened to 3 different pieces of music and responded through art, Lego and words.  
Kestrels have used their DT time to experiment with recycled paper-making; a process that has been around for thousands of years and inspired by the papyrus of Ancient Egypt. They learnt how the factory process today is not dissimilar to making it by hand. We pulped some waste paper using a blender and then used a deckle and mould to create hand-made sheets which dried beautifully in the hot sunshine!
