Global Citizens Day for Eagles class this term explored the question, 'Do all children have a similar education?' We learnt about human rights, including children's rights, and debated whether education should be compulsory and free for all, some or no one. The children then constructed graphs to compare the school leavers age and employment age of a range of countries. We then found out more about education in Mali and drew pictures to compare and contrast typical classrooms of Mali and England. The children shared many interesting and insightful thoughts and ideas throughout the day.
