Falcons read the true-life story of a koala bear who was affected by a bush fire in Australia and thought about how human intervention helped ensure that the species survived.  They then considered the responsibility we have as humans to taking care of wild animals.
In computing this week, Falcons created their own digital painting in the style of the artist Piet Mondrian, focusing on creating shapes and lines.
In DT this week, we looked at the stability of different shapes and tested this by placing books on top of them. We found that a cylinder was the most stable and one group managed to stack 36 books on top of their cylinder before it collapsed! We experimented with different size and shapes of cylinder!
