Eagles Class began a music unit exploring the Ghost Parade song. We sang along then discussed the emotions and mental images which the song generates. The children then used a selection of notes to improvise along to the tune. We also discussed the pulse of the song. The xylophones sounded great when the children played as a group.
Eagles class are investigating properties of materials this term. This week, we tested a variety of materials for electrical conductivity, completing circuits with buzzers, bulbs or motors. We then discussed when it is useful to use materials which don't conduct electricity. 
Eagles are investigating the question, "How did the war change people's lives?"  This week they looked at a range of primary and secondary sources from World War II, including quotes from contemporary speeches, photos and recounts of people's personal experiences, and thought about what they added to their knowledge and understanding of the historical period.
