Little Owls were lucky enough to have a visit from a nurse as part of our ‘people who help us’ theme.  We listened very carefully and learned new words like auroscope, stethoscope and thermometer. We were very keen to have our temperature taken, ears and eyes looked at, heart rate monitored and chest listened to!  We even got to have a go at bandaging our friends and teachers!
The Little Owls have started their topic, ‘can I tell you a story?’  We are starting with the Three Little Pigs.  The children are becoming very familiar with the story, its repetitive language and characters.  The children have also been exploring how to make a house for each little pig with a variety of materials.
