Kestrels had a fantastic music session with Kip today. The session began with music games which the children loved. The focus of the session was historic music from 450 years ago and the children discovered that it could be played today as it was written down and passed down through the decades. Kip introduced a selection of instruments to play along to the track. They listened for the pulse, rhythm, melody and the drone.
In Kestrels this week we have been working on our Big Write, and all our hard work culminated in us creating an information page about how to care for our mythical creature! We had lots of really creative ideas and loved drawing our creatures!
Kestrels have been busy cooking this week for the community tea. They added knife skills to their cooking toolkit as they chopped pumpkin and onions for pumpkin soup. They also made some delicious bread to eat alongside
