Welcome to Harbertonford Church of England Primary School and Pre-School. We hope this website gives you a clear picture of our wonderful village school, our nurturing pre-school/nursery for children aged 2–4, and the rich educational experiences we offer from Early Years through to Year 6. You can also follow what we’ve been up to on our Facebook page.
As proud members of the Link Academy Trust, we share the Trust’s vision of providing Big Opportunities in Small Schools, working closely with other academies to offer the very best for our children and families.
Located in Harbertonford, just outside Totnes in the South Hams, our small Church School sits within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Built in 1963, our school continues to thrive, achieving high academic standards through an exciting, broad curriculum that makes full use of our beautiful local environment and our strong Christian values.
We are a close-knit, vibrant school where family, community and ethos sit at the heart of everything we do. Being a small setting enables us to know every child as an individual—understanding their needs, talents, motivations and interests. We believe every child is unique, and our goal is to help them discover and fulfil their potential while developing confidence, resilience and a lifelong love of learning.
Our dedicated staff team, supportive parents and committed governors work together to create a caring, inspiring environment. From Pre-School/Nursery to Year 6, we offer a curriculum full of meaningful experiences both inside and outside the classroom, encouraging children to explore, question and flourish.
We are incredibly proud of our school, our children and our community. We would love to welcome you for a visit so you can see Harbertonford in action.
If you would like more information or to arrange a tour, please contact our school office—we would be delighted to show you around.
