Kestrel's enjoyed their Explore Italy day! We had a go at ordering the fastest animals native to Italy, playing Famous Italians Top Trumps, guessing the name of the Italian named Teddy and discovering the location of the treasure by pinning the map. The highlight of the day was making and eating our own pizzas!

Kestrels have been making some excellent progress with their swimming this week, taking on backstroke with increasing skill. We have been enjoying learning more about the different food groups and creating a balanced meal. In Maths we have seen real progress in our retention of our 3- and 4-times tables. Well done Kestrels. 

Kestrels have been enjoying their new non-fiction topic about the Romans. This complements our history topic well. This week we have been discovering artefacts from Roman forts and making judgements based on primary evidence! Everyone is looking forward to the inter house basketball competition at the end of the week, where we will come together and practise our attacking and defending skills. 

Kestrels have made great progress this half-term and have adapted well to their new class. We have enjoyed studying The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane and learned much about personal growth and character development along the way. Thank you for attending our harvest festival and I hope you enjoy a well deserved break
